DOIA Date System

Upon it's creation, the Delta Omega Iota Alliance began a new universal date system to synchronize it's member factions.

The system divides time into years, with the year of DOIA's creation being Year 0. Each year consists of 360 days, split into 12 months, each 30 days long.

Each day is broken into 24 hours, which are broken into 60 minutes, which are again broken into 60 seconds.

One second is defined as "the duration of 9 192 631 770 periods of the radiation corresponding to the transition between the two hyperfine levels of the ground state of the caesium 133 atom."

Dates and Times are usually written in the format Hour:Minute Day.Month.Year, e.g. 12:54 3.6.125 is 54 minutes past the 12th hour on the 3rd day of the 6th month of the 125th year since DOIA was created. Dates prior to DOIA use a negative year value.
